James Racchi studied sculpture in Cleveland, Ohio and Italy.
His work ranges from the figural, hinting at his classical
education in stone carving in Florence, to the playful and
even abstract. A review in Solares Hill states, “He
uses a line of steel as if he were sketching a figure with
a pencil, adding more lines until the contour of the figure
is fleshed out and wonderfully familiar.” Racchi is
the founder of Sculpture Key West.
