Using natural materials, Ron Fondaw creates works based
on ideas of permanence and the passage of time. He writes,
“I have realized that our personal memories as well
as the collective memories of humans are the most powerful
force at work in our lives, effecting every decision that
we make.” Fondaw is a professor of sculpture at Washington
University, in St. Louis. Robert Chambers, of Miami, Florida,
is an accomplished sculptor, curator, teacher, scientist and
creative tinkerer. He was the subject of a retrospective article
in Sculpture magazine in March 2005.
