By referencing the figure, whether explicitly or implicitly,
Antuan’s work speaks to themes of humankind. He uses
materials (vegetable fibers, sand, glass, dirt, toilets, food)
to create volumes and environments that subvert the original
meaning of daily things, converting the piece into a timely
reflection of life’s problems. Cuban born, Antuan is
an internationally renowned artist currently living in Miami,
